Optional Flex Days

To the Parent/Guardian of a Ricardo Middle School Student:

In an effort to maintain our exemplary status, Ricardo ISD has scheduled six (6) Intense Remediation Days (IRD) in its school calendar.  The days are: October 26, December 7, January 18, February 15, March 7 and April 11.

Students meeting all of the following criteria will be exempt from attending school on those dates:

1.       Passing core courses with an 85 average or better during the grading period immediately prior to the IRD. 

2.       Be in attendance 90% for the year up to the scheduled IRD.

3.       Have no office referrals for the time between IRD.

4.       Benchmark Scores and teacher recommendations will also be taken into account for the IRD.

To the Parent/Guardian of a Ricardo Elementary 3rd/4th  grader,

In order to meet the needs of all students, Ricardo ISD has scheduled six Intense Remediation Days (IRD’s) in its school calendar. The days are October 26, December 7, January 18, February 15, March 7, and April 11.

Students meeting all of the following criteria will be exempt from attending school on those dates

without being marked absent:

CRITERIA:

1.       Passing core subject areas with an 85  (Reading, ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) 

2.       Be in attendance 90% for the year up to the scheduled IRD.

3.       Have no office referrals for the time between IRD.

4.       Benchmark scores will also be taken into account for the IRD.  Students should score 85% or above.
