Menu Breakfast Lunch	On behalf of your School Cafeteria and the Food Service Department, I would like to welcome you to the 2011 - 2012 school year.  We are looking forward to serving nutritious meals to the children of the district. Each day the school cafeteria provides breakfast and lunch designed to meet the nutritional needs of all students.  The school breakfast is available for all students and provides the energy necessary to facilitate learning for active school children. The school lunch has two or more entree options for students.  For your convenience, meals may be paid in cash and check. MEAL PRICES Students:      Lunch $1.90    Breakfast  $1.60 Reduced Lunch $0.40 Breakfast $0.30 Adults: Visitors $3.50 Holiday Meals $4.50 FREE AND REDUCED-PRICE MEAL APPLICATIONS Free and reduced-meal price applications will be sent home with students in their first day packets.  Also applications are available at the school or cafeteria, if you have questions concerning applications; please contact Noe Bazan 361-592-6465 ext. 26.  All returning applicants for Free and Reduced-price meals must submit a new application for the 2011-2012 school year.  Students become eligible for free or reduced-price meals when the application has been processed.  Meal benefits are not retroactive.  Please submit only one application per household. Students who were on the free or reduced-price meal program last year in Ricardo ISD have a "prior year" status for the first 30 school days of the new school year.  If we have not received a new application for these students by October 3, 2011, they will become "Paid" students on October 4, 2011.  MEAL PAYMENT OPTIONS Check and Cash Please make your check out to RISD, with your child’s name in the memo section of the check. If you have more than one child you may write one check, just provide us with names and amounts to apply to each account. When sending cash or check, please put in a secure envelope labeled Lunch Money, with your child’s name on it. They may bring it to the cafeteria and give it to the cashier as they go through the serving line. If checks are returned to RISD Food Service Department with NSF there will be a charge of $30.00.
