Ricardo ISD

H.B. 1842 (84th Session of the Texas Legislature) in part amended Chapter 12 of the Texas Education Code (TEC) to create Districts of Innovations thereby providing eligible districts to be exempt from certain sections of the TEC that inhibit the goals of the district as outlined in the plan. Districts must meet certain performance requirements and follow procedures for adoption as outline in Statute.

The Ricardo ISD District of Innovation Plan was amended on March 22, 2023 in accordance with TEC 11.251. This amendment does not change the term date of the current plan.

TERM: The term of the current DOI plan is for five years beginning August 1, 2022 through July 31, 2027 unless terminated or amended earlier by the Board of Trustees.
