Ricardo ISD would like to inform our parents, staff, and community that a statewide emergency alert system test will take place on:
- Thursday, April 2, 2026
- Between 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
During this time, the Texas Division of Emergency Management will be conducting a coordinated drill across the state. You may receive test alerts through various systems, including:
- Mobile phone emergency alerts (WEA)
- Local notification systems
- Public alert messaging systems
What to Expect from Ricardo ISD:
As part of this statewide effort, Ricardo ISD will also be sending out test alerts through our communication systems during this window. These messages are only a test and are part of our commitment to keeping our schools and community prepared.
Important:
There is no emergency — this is strictly a drill to ensure our systems are working properly and that we are ready in case of a real emergency.
