Learning in Action @ RMS

Spreading the Ricardo Way

Sometimes the best learning happens through the way we treat others. When new students joined RMS this week, several of our Yellowjackets stepped up on their own to welcome them, help them get settled, and make their transition to a new school a little easier.

A huge shout-out to Braylin Hubert, Cross Reyna, Elias Espitia, Makailee Gonzales, Meiah Rodriguez, and Kinley Montemayor for showing kindness, leadership, and what it truly means to spread the Ricardo Way!
After hearing about their efforts, CIS Director Jennifer Taylor surprised these students with a special treat to recognize them for going out of their way to help others.

This is the Ricardo Way—Yellowjackets taking care of Yellowjackets! 💙💛🐝

📚✨ Learning in Action at Ricardo Elementary! 💙💛

Our 3rd grade Yellowjackets recently researched careers they are interested in pursuing and proudly presented what they learned to their classmates!  We are so proud of our students for the hard work, confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm they showed during their presentations! ⭐

Our 2nd graders took their learning outside to explore, investigate, and listen! They learned about different levels of sound and explored how sound is used in everyday life. Through hands-on investigation, students made observations and connected their science learning to the world around them. 👂🔍🌎

Learning, exploring, and making discoveries—our Yellowjackets are always buzzing with curiosity! 🐝

🚌💙💛 BUS SAFETY & BEHAVIOR REMINDER 💛💙🚌

Parents & Guardians,

Please take a moment to remind your student about the importance of bus safety and appropriate behavior while riding the school bus.

🔹 Seatbelts MUST be worn.
Students are expected to wear their seatbelt throughout the entire bus ride. This simple step helps keep our students safe while traveling to and from school.

🔹 Safe and respectful behavior is expected.
Students should follow the bus driver's directions, remain seated, use appropriate voices, and keep their hands, feet, and belongings to themselves. Good behavior helps our bus drivers stay focused on the road and safely transport everyone to and from school.

⚠️ Repeated behavior or safety reports may result in disciplinary consequences, including suspension from riding the school bus or loss of bus riding privileges.

We appreciate our parents and guardians partnering with us to remind students that bus safety is everyone's responsibility! Thank you for helping us keep our Yellowjackets safe! 🐝💙💛
